ENERGIA’s participation in the Multi-Stakeholder Technical Advisory Group on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7-TAG) offered the opportunity to advocate for gender inclusion in the first review of progress towards SDG7.

As the secretariat for the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF), UNDESA established the Multi-Stakeholder Technical Advisory Group on Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7-TAG) to take stock of progress on SDG7 and share advice on the technical preparation of the review of progress towards SDG7 at the 2019 HLPF. UNDESA invited ENERGIA to co-chair the SDG7-TAG. In this position, ENERGIA was able to advocate for gender inclusion and influence the agenda. ENERGIA developed a policy brief on the interlinkages with SDG 5, which was relevant to achieving progress on SDG7.
