ENERGIA stimulates and facilitates conversations and collaborations between different organizations and stakeholders, including local finance institutions (LFIs), renewable energy (RE) companies, governments, local authorities, non-governmental organisations and women entrepreneurs, to establish a common understanding of the challenges women entrepreneurs face, and formulate and undertake actions to bring a systemic change.
Together with key partners in Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Senegal, and Nigeria, ENERGIA conducted multi-stakeholder roundtables that brought together 150 private sector representatives. These collaborations enabled reflection on what needs to be done to create an environment where women energy entrepreneurs could unleash their potential and actively participate in the energy transition. The cooperation with different actors allowed the creation of gender responsive action agendas and contributed to the overarching goal to raise awareness in the energy sector.
